The most customizable typing test website with a minimal design and a ton of features. Test yourself in various modes, track your progress and improve your speed.
Next, I used Monkeytype.com to improve my speed and accuracy. Here’s what I did:
- 1.Short Tests: Started with 15-second lessons to build speed.
- 2.Longer Tests: Tried 30-second lessons to improve consistency.
- 3.Punctuation and Numbers: Practiced typing punctuation and numbers.
- 4.Quotes: Typed small quotes to get better at typing real sentences.
Monkeytype tracks your progress and shows your speed and accuracy, which motivated me to improve.
Focus on Accuracy
The most important thing I learned is to focus on accuracy. From the start, I aimed for at least 97% accuracy. Speed comes naturally when you type correctly.
Final Thoughts
Typing fast wasn’t easy at first, but with consistent practice, I improved. From 24 WPM to 140 WPM, the journey was worth it.
